Alley Art: Discovering Wabi-Sabi

What: Wabi-sabi is a Japanese philosophy that believes in the beauty of things imperfect and things humble and modest.
Where: Great Bay Gallery, 829 Bay Avenue, Somers Point, NJ
When: Friday, August 3rd, 2012, 5-8 pm, poetry reading 6:30 pm
Several poets will be displaying poetry (haiku and prose) constructions in and around the gallery studio and gardens. The participating poets will read their works beginning at 6:30 pm.
The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

This is the first post for the Vagabonds, a group of haijin and haiku enthusiasts from the southern New Jersey shore area. We'll be publishing news items, educational essays, and, yes, haiku from local area poets. Join us!
